In this article I want to go a bit deeper into Max Interval training workout, see what it means and the way it works. To do that, you first need to understand what interval training is incorporated in the first place.
Interval Training (or HIIT in short) is a workout method that you alternate between intense segments and lower intensity ones. For example, if you're running on a treadmill, you can run for 60 minutes at 9 mile hourly, then switch to a 90 second walk at 4 miles-per-hour, do another 60 minutes at 9 MPH then run slower at 6 MPH for a few minutes more. The top intensity segments are shorter than the lower intensity ones.
HIIT can be a way in which you can gain a higher intensity workout a lot sooner because you're pushing your body hard in various parts of the workout and letting yourself recover within the other parts. This burns more calories and much more fat and has become a fundamental part of many fitness plans.
Shaun T took regular intense interval training workouts and flipped them the other way up. In doing so he created Max Interval training workout. The difference is that within the Insanity Workout system the larger intensity segments are much longer than the segments of lower intensity. You are not getting nearly as much rest in between the high intensity parts of the workout while you would in regular HIIT workouts.
This will make Max Interval Training workouts harder to do than regular workouts and is also part of the reason why the Insanoty Workout product is such a tough program to accomplish and stick to. Additionally it is the reason why this program may result in such a massive fat loss and calorie burn rate. You merely workout way harder compared to other routines.
However, this type of training can also be risky. It may not be right for beginners and could place a tremendous stress on your joints, so be careful when you do it. You should be ready for some serious effort. This is just what Max Interval Training is all about. It's super hard work but can yield results.
